C.J.G.(Gerhard) Le Roux PR Eng(Reg No. 930 202) registered as a Professional Civil Engineer in May 1993 and started his own consulting business in 1996 on a part time basis and full time in 1998. The consultancy was initially run as a one member CC but converted to a private company in 2011. He is assisted on a full time basis by Eugene Marais (B. tech) with civil work and four engineering technicians (one Civil and three Structural) and a draftsperson, to enhance our capacity and to provide quick and effective service. We have sound experience in the following fields: 1. Soil evaluation and foundation designs for single and double storey buildings, mostly residential. Reinforced Concrete designs - structural designs for multi–storey buildings, raft foundations etc. included. Structural steel design – the design of several shopping complexes and factories have been successfully undertaken. Investigation and recommendations regarding structural damage and repairs to buildings. We are a registered at the National Homebuilders Registration Council (NHBRC) and do a lot of this work for them. Design of Civil Services (Water/Sewer/Roads & Stormwater) for shopping/residential complexes as well as townships. Design, specification and preparation of Digital Terrain models for earthworks projects. Design of water retaining structures – concrete and earth structures. Acting as principal agent on construction/building projects. The company's mission is to provide value for money solutions for the delivery of engineering services. We realize the importance of keeping to deadlines and will leave no stone unturned to accomplish this. We are aware of the challenges involved in complying with the specifications and other administrative requirements of the Local Authorities. We therefore try to gain the edge over our competition by maintaining good contact and relations with the strategic officials at the local authorities.
