Claru

Claru is a new technology company focused on improving traceability and transparency within the food supply chain using new and emerging technologies. The Cork-based team is focused primarily on identifying key business challenges within the Irish Dairy sector such as 100% Grass-Fed and GM-Free and determining technical solutions to address the same. Claru’s intent is to use existing data collection mechanisms from the dairy production process to feed supply chain data on to a Blockchain platform. From here, a holistic view of the dairy products provenance will be made accessible to the consumer using mobile web technology. To date, the team has built a number of working prototypes using production data to successfully validate the approach.
