The demands of the room parent require attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping. Administrative responsibilities may include recruiting dozens of parent volunteers, coordinating multiple events and projects, collecting funds, juggling phone/text/email communications, and managing countless other admin activities. The administrative duties of the room parent take away time that could otherwise be spent focusing on their own student’s educational experience. We asked: Could there be a better way?
