MISSION STATEMENT To foster, train and demonstrate safe work practices related to responding to an oil spill. To develop Member and Response Community communications, understanding and networking to enhance and facilitate joint operations during a response event. To stand ready, prepared and vigilant, to immediately respond to an oil spill or marine fire emergency. To continuously train and prepare public and private responders in the skills and techniques needed to safely and effectively respond to member emergencies. To serve our members with total professionalism, employing and advancing the business efficiency of our organization to reduce, manage and control the cost of responding to an oil spill. To respond in a cost effective manner that rewards our members by not charging for use of equipment and services they already sustain. To work with our Members and the entire Hawaii Community in support of Oil Spill Planning, Training, Preparation and Response.
