Clean Slate Music
Named after an original design by architect Mark McHenry, Clean Slate Music was founded and affiliated with BMI in the late 70s as a joint venture between Dexter Payne, David Horgan and Beth Lo, all then located in Hamilton, MT. The three were members of and principle writers for the Big Sky Mudflaps, an eclectic swing group which would soon tour coast to coast and appear on the NBC Today Show. Also singing with the group was Payne's partner, the late Judy Roderick. Upon Roderick's death in 1992, Payne became the sole owner and published Roderick's original material in the Clean Slate catalogue.
