Clearfield is a special-situations fund launched in May 2015 by Philip Hilal. Clearfield pursues a multi-disciplinary approach to special-situation investing, blending fundamental long/short and classic event-driven investment styles. The firm currently employs an experienced four-person investment team, with a background in hedge funds, private equity/restructuring, and management consulting. The team manages a concentrated portfolio of high-conviction ideas built on a research-intensive, repeatable process.
