Clearing Barrel Productions is an independent, veteran-owned company focused on telling stories that challenge, inspire, and entertain audiences through the media arts. Clearing Barrel (noun) A barrel filled with sand, placed at the entrance of a Forward Operating Base, and used to safely “clear” a loaded weapon from any discharge The clearing barrel is a safe space for a soldier to check his weapon to be sure he has no dangerous ammunition left within - a metaphor for storytelling, which we use to “clear” the mind and alleviate emotional burdens. Clearing Barrel Productions invites the audience to share in the healing camaraderie of narrative, which has been used by soldiers throughout history.
