Clever Core is building a new generation of homes for New Zealand. Homes that will be constructed faster, more accurately, and with less waste than traditional builds. The homes we produce are specifically designed for manufacture and assembly (DfMA) and meet all New Zealand Building Code requirements. Clever Core’s unique manufacturing process delivers significant time saving over traditional building methods and can lead to early delivery. Dimensionally accurate and built to all code requirements, Clever Core ensures the best quality fit, finish, and compliance. The Clever Core construction process leads to improved health and safety and waste reduction through a highly controlled off-site manufacturing operation. We work with architects and designers to develop plans that are compatible with large-scale automated manufacturing. Once planned and designed, Clever Core manufacture the structural ‘core’ of the home – the walls, floors, and roof components. Using carefully selected materials and components Clever Core engineer closed wall panels, mid floor, and roof cassette systems ready for transport and site assembly. The manufactured products have all the services coordinated ready for on-site or in-plant installation saving time and potential mistakes. The wall panels include a weathertight external rigid air barrier (RAB), windows, insulation, and internal linings. The roof cassettes include long-run metal roofing. Our midfloor solutions have ducts for the services making it a breeze to coordinate the hydraulic & ventilation services. The various parts of the core are transported and assembled on-site by our specialist team, forming the weathertight structural core of the home, from single-level homes to a block of two-level terrace homes. Each unit is generally installed in a single day after which your traditional builder will take over and complete the external cladding and internal fit-out.
