Cliq App

Cliq is a social app built in Chicago to make it easier for people to meet each other and explore the city with old friends and new. The app works in real-time, enabling groups of friends to connect on their mobile phones and then meet up in person. Inspiration struck Founder and Chicago area native Nick Wieczorek when he found himself hanging out at the same few bars with the same few friends in the midst of this vibrant city full of interesting people and exciting things to do. With the support of Chicago’s startup incubator 1871 and a handful of influential investors, Nick decided to zero in on how to get more of these people to meet each other in Chicago, and Cliq was created. Here’s how it works: Ask your friends to join you on Cliq. Together, browse other groups of friends nearby and invite them to chat. Get to know each other in a group text that disappears by morning. If you cliq, we’ll suggest a bar or activity so you can meet in person.
