Clochard Moderne

A hobo, a vagabond, but not the kind you find in the back alleys of big cities pushing a cart full of junk, a Clochard Moderne is someone that enjoys their freedom without giving up the little things that make life easier and more enjoyable. A Clochard Moderne seeks to find beauty and enjoyment in small things in life that lots of people seem to miss out on and tries to find insights that are original and out of the box. Planted as a seed in the minds of a father and a son in 1981, Clochard Moderne finally came to full bloom in 2012 when the same father and son burst with ideas for products, brands, concepts and ideas that they will try to catch under one common philosophy, the philosophy of a Clochard Moderne. Instead of focussing on cheap booze and sleeping on cardboard underneath bridges we like to focus on a thing that a clochard has more than most, which is freedom. Freedom to go where they want, and do as they please. Since we are not particulary fond of sleeping on cardboard that is where the Moderne part comes in. Since the invention of the tent there have been many inventions that make living on the go a much more pleasant experience than sleeping under a bridge. Advancing technology allows us to make our travels more pleasant and sometimes also more eco friendly. If we can limit the enviromental impact on the places we visit this is something we strive for.
