CGC is excited to announce we are now part of the Petra Funds Group! We will be joining a senior group of experienced ESG professionals to help build out their leading ESG advisory practice. Close Group Consulting (CGC) was built out of the need for an ESG advisory and diligence firm that combines investment, financial and capital markets experience with ESG knowledge and strategy. With offices in Montreal and London (UK), CGC is an independent ESG advisory and due diligence firm that works with investment fund managers and asset owners across public and private asset classes, as well as privately held and publicly traded corporates to frame and address ESG factors for risk management and as a value-enhancing aspect of core business strategy. Leveraging our in-depth industry experience, we work in partnership with our clients to design and implement comprehensive ESG frameworks as well as perform transaction and manager/GP ESG due diligence using proprietary tools and methodologies. Our senior management team is composed of professionals each with over 20 years of global financial and capital markets experience across investment, portfolio and risk management, research, strategy, fund raising, and ESG. As a boutique, we take a high-touch, pragmatic approach and our senior professionals are directly engaged on each client project. Since inception in November 2017, CGC has worked with a wide range of clients and has implemented mandates for global investment managers with combined assets under management of over $2.3 trillion. In 2020, CGC launched the ESG Integration Maturity Assessment Tool or “MAT” for the diligence and benchmarking of fund managers' ESG integration practices across public and private markets.
