Club Readership

Club Readership is an institution created for the readership in Africa and diaspora to engage on the African books written by African authors, this platform will among other things enable readership to meet and engage on a book/s, to have online conversation about books, writing competitions and above all to make reading fashionable as it is a necessity, particularly in the black community. Steve Biko once said that “the greatest weapon in the hand of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed.” It is for this reason that Club Readership then becomes a significant platform as it will be a central institution to alert the general readership of books written by Africans in Africa and diaspora. Core to the Club Readership is to make reading fashionable, in particular reading African books.
