Cludius Law provides estate planning services with a particular interest in planning for blended families. The owner of the firm, Fred, experienced first hand what happens when there is no planning. When his late wife, Jennifer, died, she did not have an estate plan and their status as a blended family meant that the distribution of property wasn't what she had envisioned. An estate plan was being worked on, but not finished. Their was always tomorrow to work on it and the lawyer didn't have a timeline in place to encourage a plan being put in place. Fred knew that there must be a better way and has been lucky enough to find a mentor to help and encourage him to provide a model that encourages people to complete their plans so children and property are protected. One thing that Fred and Jennifer did do right was to frankly discuss what they would want the other one to do in their life if the other were to die. Fred has remarried and he and Blanca have created an estate plan together that honors not only each of their children, but Fred's stepson from Jennifer.
