The CMIS (Chronic Myocardial Ischemic Syndrome) Task Force Mission - Our understanding of myocardial ischemia is undergoing a paradigm shift as a growing body of evidence challenges the assumption that its underlying cause is predominantly obstructive atherosclerosis. So how do clinicians adapt their practice to managing myocardial ischemia as a multifactorial syndrome? The CMIS Task Force is comprised of twelve internationally renowned experts in cardiology from across the globe who are collaborating to deliver free, independent education to support healthcare professionals in the field of cardiology. By advancing scholarly activities, position papers and educational materials, they aim to: Raise awareness of the diagnostic and therapeutic implications of the multifactorial nature of chronic myocardial ischemic syndromes Encourage a patient-tailored approach to pharmacotherapy that aligns treatment with the underlying pathobiology of myocardial ischemic syndromes
