Hello and Welcome, I am Chris Malby-Tynan, Founder of CMT Consultancy, and I help businesses create engaging and effective marketing content that actually helps the bottom line. Over the course of my career, I’ve worked with companies at all stages from corporate behemoths like Amazon, Carl Zeiss, and Microsoft, through to numerous early-stage startups. Over the last few years, I have worked intermittently – and now because of the pandemic, more permanently – as a marketing consultant, helping businesses improve their marketing efforts by creating engaging content that actually works to increase sales. Since leaving University and becoming a bona fide professional marketer, I've discovered that I most enjoy the tough challenges – the ones deemed "impossible." Working as part of a larger team, I have hugely enjoyed seeing initiatives taking on a life of their own as they grow from nothing to something. My approach to marketing has been largely inspired by the works of Dave Gerhardt [CMO @ Privy], Matthew Kobach [Director of Content Marketing @ Fast], Rory Sutherland [Vice-Chairman @ Ogilvy], and Jack Butcher [Founder @ Visualize Value] amongst many other anonymous contributors. These inspiring thinkers have made me a better marketer by thinking beyond vanity metrics and the unfortunate waft that marketing can be sucked into by focusing on metrics that actually effect the business: revenue.
