Coast Hospice

Founded and registered in 2001, Coast Hospice is a charitable organization with a mission to holistically treat pain and alleviate the suffering of patients with life-limiting illnesses such as Cancer, within the coast region. The organization provides an outpatient clinic for pain management and symptom control, psycho-social support for patients and their caregivers, ward visits, home visits, and bi-weekly support group sessions for patients from financially disadvantaged backgrounds. Coast Hospice is situated behind the Coast Provincial General Hospital, next to the Kenya Medical Training College, Mombasa campus. The organization also promotes training/educational programs in palliative care, for healthcare professionals, healthcare workers, and volunteers.
