Coast Mastering

Coast Mastering is the premier all-analog mastering and restoration facility in Northern California. We work out of the historic Fantasy Studios complex in Berkeley, California. Formerly known as Studio C, our two newly-built mastering rooms were designed and tuned by acoustician Bob Hodas and feature speakers by Focal, VTL monoblock tube amplifiers, A/D/A conversion by Bricasti and Metric Halo, ATR tape machines, and all-analog mastering chains with gear by Masalec, Manley, Rupert Neve, Knif, Esoteric Audio Research, GML and more. We pride ourselves on the integrity of our listening environments and our meticulous attention to quality and detail. Coast Mastering provides mastering for CD, vinyl and streaming formats as well as hi-res mastering up to 192k and 5.1 surround sound mastering. We are a certified Mastered for iTunes provider and can do all-analog tape-to-tape mastering. We also offer audio restoration and archiving, including large and small-scale digitization, restoration, remastering and archival consulting.
