In 1989, dissatisfied with the fizzy lagers being served in Indian restaurants, Karan Bilimoria had an idea: to create a less gassy beer that was easy to drink and went well with with food. Today, Cobra Beer is a firm favourite with beer lovers in the UK, where it is one of the fastest growing beer brands. In the last few years Cobra has also become more widely available in the UK’s pubs and bars. The Cobra range has expanded too, with new products including an alcohol-free beer and Cobra Bite - a range of 100% naturally flavoured lagers.
