Cochrane Brazil

Cochrane Brazil is a non-governmental organization, non-profit and without international sources of financing, which aims to contribute to the improvement of decision making in Health, based on the best scientific information available. Its mission is to develop, maintain and disseminate Systematic Reviews of Randomized Clinical Trials, the best level of evidence for health decision-making. Opened in 1996, Cochrane Brazil, one of the 13 Collaboration Centers and 28 extensions, promotes systematic review and meta-analysis workshops and conducts scientific consultations for authors of Systematic Reviews. The Center has already provided the country with nearly two hundred international publications. Our Center has scientific production comparable to that of similar institutions in European countries and functions as a laboratory for research and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.
