Located in Historic Downtown Apex, NC, Cocoon Gallery is the destination of choice for functional artworks created by 70+ local master artisans. Cynthia Mollenkopf, owner of Cocoon Gallery, is a textile artists who believes in the transformative power of art for individuals and for communities. She endeavors to encourage that transformation by helping guest who visit Cocoon Gallery to find functional art that will enrich their lives and to make the personal connection between artists and art lovers. She encourages everyone to surround themselves with locally made, high quality wares and wearables for daily use and enjoyment - whether it's a mug for morning coffee, a lamp to read by at night, or a shawl to accent a wardrobe. Mediums include ceramics, wood, jewelry, textiles, metal, glass, music and books. Classes and events are held throughout the year.
