Coderina Rwanda

Coderina Initiatives seeks to address the challenges of unemployment by equipping students with job readiness skills and competencies they require to fully meet the demands of the future of work. The Initiative provides students with an opportunity to explore STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering Arts, and Math) in an experiential, fun and mind-on format in the classroom for sustainable development. The Initiative also aims to create a world-class educational system that gives students the knowledge and skills to be successful in college and the workforce and ultimately to flourish as parents and citizens. The mission of Coderina is to provide leadership and intervention by supporting Education Ministries and other government agencies with the development of policy and accountability systems so that all students acquire all they need to compete in the global knowledge community. The educational priorities of Coderina are encapsulated in the following six goals-All Students Proficient and Showing Growth in All Assessed Areas -Every Student Graduates from High School and is Ready for College and Career -Every Child Has Access to a High-Quality Early Childhood Program -Every School Has Effective Teachers and Leaders -Every Community Effectively Using a World-Class Data System to Improve Student Outcomes -Every School is Rated based on a Digital Literacy and School Innovation scale Coderina is committed to empowering both in-school and out-of-school learners, along with educators, with a specific focus on individuals facing economic challenges, particularly those in secondary school within a specific age bracket. Our motivation stems from the recognition of the barriers people in poverty encounter, especially during their secondary education phase, which may represent their highest level of academic achievement before entering the workforce.
