Coding Is Fun

Coding Is Fun is a nonprofit program for the students, from the students, by the students. Using virtual learning room and microcontroller simulation technologies, Coding Is Fun provides programming education to youths aged 9-16 across Canada. With various skill levels from zero knowledge to comfortably articulating code in projects, students fit in one of the three divisions in our curriculum – beginner, junior, and senior, where the graduates are trained to become new teachers. For each division, we design the curriculum to expose students to not only programming fundamentals, but also new technologies such as IoT. Over three years, more than 500 hours of free lessons have been taught by more than 30 volunteer student teachers to 800 graduated students.
