COFAD Consultants for Fishery, Aquaculture and Regional Development was founded in 1983. With effect from 1st January 2009, GOPA Consultants of Bad Homburg, Germany, assumed 80% of the shares of COFAD GmbH. COFAD accordingly became part of the GOPA Consulting Group. The other shareholder is managing director Suitbert Schmüdderich. COFAD is specialised in the fields of: Fisheries Aquaculture Regional development in the context of fisheries Management of natural resources. Within these areas of expertise COFAD carries out studies, assessments and projects in Germany, the EU and, in the context of technical cooperation, in developing, emerging and transition countries. Our clients are multinational organisations, government agencies and private clients.
