Colab4Food - Collaborative Laboratory is an R&D entity in the agri-food sector with the objective of increasing the resilience and competitiveness of this sector by promoting innovation, development and knowledge transfer in a collaborative way between academia and businesses, and being a catalyst in the process of developing new products and applying innovative technologies to the industry. We are a highly qualified team of 25 researchers with experience in relevant areas of the agri-food sector from Engineering, Biochemistry, Food Technologies, Microbiology and Nanotechnology. We also have partnerships with specialized laboratories, universities, technological centers and other entities in the sector in Portugal and Europe. We provide services to develop innovative solutions in the areas of new ingredients and formulations of functional products, more nutritious and of added value for the consumer, more efficient and sustainable food processes and technologies, and integrated solutions in the perspective of circular economy.
