Focus and goal of Cologne Book Manufactory are sustainable print and paper products made from environmentally friendly, pollutant-free materials and complete supply chain transparency. At Cologne Book Manufactory, production starts with a careful selection of suppliers and materials. For this we use the standardised Company, Product and Material Assessments of the Responsible Publishing Net (RPN). These assessments are accessible to interested third parties. The RPN assessment standards cover a wide range of different compliance requirements with general relevance in the printing and paper sector. They include the applicable ISO standards as well as legal and voluntary standards that are of general relevance or important in areas with specific requirements, such as in the production of toys, stationery, food packaging, promotional material and corporate reports. Together with our production partners, we support print buyers and publishers with printing and publishing services on request. This includes support in product development as well as production management and the organisation of cost-effective co-productions in the CBM product standards. Advice and support are also available on general and specific issues related to sustainable and pollutant-free print productions, product and toy safety topics, as well as on due diligence obligations in the supply chain management. For quality requirements such as corporate audits, product safety tests and compliance checks, CBM cooperates with selected certifiers, testing laboratories and other experts and consultants.
