COLWELL SHELOR is a collaborative landscape architecture and urban design practice based in Phoenix, Arizona. Founded in 2009 by landscape architects Allison Colwell and Michele Shelor, the firm is dedicated to the creation of meaningful, vibrant environments that deeply reference the cultural and ecological requisites of each site. The firm's work is greatly varied in type and scale, ranging from academic plazas, civic complexes and parks to intimate domestic sanctuaries, each equally important in their own right. With each commission the firm endeavors to balance program whilst aspiring to improve the relationship between people and the world they live in. COLWELL SHELOR’s ultimate ambition is to reach beyond sustainability to create living communities that are poetic and enduring, enhance livability, and provide ecological benefits to all.
