August 19, 2018 was a great day that saw concerned Malawians living in South Africa meeting, formulating a union that will transform the lives of Malawian immigrants living in South Africa looking after the daily problems facing them. The meeting decided to form an organisation that will work as a union for the co-operation of Malawians in South Africa that must look after the following issues: Migration & Foreign Affairs, Skills Transfer & Job Placement, Health & Emergency Welfare, Savings & Credit Co-operation, Sending Money Home Easily, Burial Society & Repatriation, Social Business Innovation COMASA will also address issues as they may arise from time to time for the benefit of its bonafide members. The organisation will seek for more funding from participating members, Malawi Government Agencies/Consulate, well wishers and other International Charitable Organizations for the modus operandi, registrations and licences, procurement of assets and IT equipment, infrastructure, organisation capacity building and members' training.
