Commander Asset Management (“CAM”) provides a fresh, robust, transparent and well-honed systematic approach to equity investing. On several occasions since the mid 1980s, the founders of CAM have witnessed the shortcomings of (i) active management (not least where investment decisions are based on the perceived intrinsic value of a company and the narrow fundamental analysis of financial factors), and (ii) passive management (notably its lack of protection in down markets). By using proven technical analysis instead, the continuous stock price rotation within markets can be captured, creating compound growth in a systematic way. This has enabled CAM to strive for better risk-adjusted returns than the benchmark over the long-term, whilst notably seeking to preserve capital in “down” / “volatile” markets. Over the last 20+ years, the founders of CAM have applied this systematic approach to a wide variety of broadly equally-weighted smart beta stock bundles, and it can be easily harnessed to global, regional, Sharia, ESG, etc. remits. CAM looks to provide bespoke solutions to institutional investors and other financial institutions, to manage or advise segregated accounts, funds and indices.
