Common Interest Solutions

Common Interest Solutions (CIS) is an interdisciplinary research and center, includes researchers from the MENA region with the aim of studying the social, political, cultural and economic changes. CIS always tries to reduce the gap between the academic milieu and society, as we suffer in our region from the isolation of academia from society, as well as the weak ability of societies to access those academic, which makes it a priority for us to work directly with the society, in addition to removing obstacles to the results of academic work reaching its target groups. CIS was officially incorporated in the United Kingdom in 2019, as a not-for-profit community interest company. CIS is the institutionalization of an informal initiative (GAIA) founded in 2016 by researchers from the MENA region, and has implemented a number of initiatives aimed at strengthening democracy, supporting diversity and minorities in light of democratic transition, international law and international mechanisms and Human Rights.
