Non-for-profit C.I.C (Community Interest Company) managed by Deaf & BSL Interpreter Directors (Ian Hodgetts & Colette Hogan) The aims of CommunityID are: • To provide bespoke "Deaf and Interpreter Awareness" training for community groups and charities etc. • To provide consultancy and to advise community groups, voluntary organisations and charities on best practice. • To empower Deaf people and their rights - providing employment and/or work experience. • To promote British Sign Language (BSL) and BSL/English Interpreting standards and training. • Community involvement i.e. volunteering, supporting deaf led events and fundraisers.
