Compass Mentoring Group – a smooth sea never made a skillful sailor… About us Compass Mentoring Group is a social enterprise that specialises in delivering solution focused mentoring to young people. We are all too aware of the challenges that young people are currently facing and have been able to tailor our programmes to suit the individual needs of each student we work with. We work hand in hand with schools, families, social services and other organisations to ensure that we are able to gain a greater understanding of the young person and make sure that we are all providing a consistent message. The Compass Vision Our vision is to get the young people to become 100% accountable for their thoughts, actions and outcomes. Only by becoming fully accountable, will a young person understand the need to set high standards and expectations for themselves. The vision is to allow the young person to see that the only limits they have are the ones which they set upon themselves. Compass Aims • Improve attendance and punctuality of students. • Fit into mainstream education without having to spend time out of class due to disruptive behaviour. • Understand the importance of education and achieve GCSEs in Maths, Science & English (Minimum). • Improve behaviour not only in school but also in society, therefore becoming a better individual. • Set high aspirations despite their background and with belief and hard work, achieve them.
