Competitive Markets Action is dedicated to defeat the Farm Bill’s Trojan Horse, the EATS Act. The “Ending Agricultural Trade Suppression (EATS) Act“ is federal legislation led by Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-IA) and Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS), which will be introduced in the upcoming Farm Bill. The EATS Act is a rebranded version of the infamous King Amendment, which was defeated in both 2013 and 2018. Using a deceptive bill title, the EATS Act aims to strip states and localities of their regulatory authority, all in the name of agricultural trade regulation.
