Our journey began with a focus on carefully curated events (SHIFTmakers Series), serving as catalysts for engaging discussions among a diverse range of stakeholders from the private, public, and non-profit sectors. Introducing The ArtSeen Project ArtSeen is a manifestation of our commitment to nurturing creativity and connectivity. Inspired by insights gained from one of our past endeavors, the "Business of the Arts" event in May 2023, we embarked on a new innovation, the ArtSeen Project. This visionary initiative seeks to revolutionize the Greater Victoria arts (and beyond) by democratizing access to art. Through ArtSeen, we aim to bring the concept of art galleries to everyday spaces, transforming them into vibrant cultural hubs showcasing local talent. Why the Shift? While our event-based approach provided invaluable experiences, we recognized the need for sustainability and innovation. The ArtSeen Project emerged as a response to the pressing challenges faced by artists and venues, aiming to enhance digital and physical arts infrastructure while fostering collaboration within the community, laying the groundwork for enduring impact.
