Amanda embraces the multitude of emotions that trickle into her children’s lives on a moment-to-moment basis. She knows from her own parenting experience that when emotions flow into daily language then the best version of the self takes center stage. Amanda also understands that when emotions are left in a dark corner (or suppressed) then negative behaviors and unhealthy coping patterns emerge (and, let’s be honest, anxiety and depression are real monsters). Plus, when our kids learn how to talk about emotions then their emotional intelligence roots and the next thing you know, you have an Aspen tree-like grove of emotionally healthy children.
