Connect Specialist Therapy Services

Connect is an Independent Occupational Therapy Service specialising in Sensory Integration Therapy to underpin service delivery. We can assess and treat children and young people aged 0-25 years across the Yorkshire region. We can receive referrals from parents, carers, school, General Practitioners, Social Workers, Psychologists and any other professional such as Physiotherapist with the consent of the parent/carers. Occupation is the central focus of therapy and hinges its belief that occupations are meaningful within the context of an individual’s life. For children and young people their primary occupations are play, school and activities of daily living [including washing, dressing and feeding]. Connect is passionate about supporting individuals who have difficulties completing these functional activities within their everyday lives and strives to provide a family centred approach to enhance the lives of children and young people. We understand how having sensory processing difficulties can impact on the whole family; therefore, we are flexible throughout service delivery to ensure needs are met to a high standard with compassion, care and autonomy. “Creating Connections that Last a Lifetime” is our aim. We believe that by providing the most appropriate support to meet the identified needs and making positive changes in childhood can impact on the child/young person for the rest of their lives.
