Connecticut Soaring Association

Connecticut Soaring Association, Inc, is a non-profit glider organization serving Connecticut, Rhode Island and south-central Massachusetts. Completely member run, we offer pilots and students the opportunity to enjoy the sport and science of motor-less flight. We fly at Danielson Airport, Danielson, Connecticut. Membership is open to anyone interested in soaring. Members receive unlimited glider instruction in one of the group's two Schweizer 2-33 trainers. Pilots have the use of the trainers and Schweizer 1-26. Many of our members fly their own sailplanes, participating in competitions and cross-country flight. We are an affiliate member of Soaring Society of America and we participate in their F.A.S.T.(Fly A Sailplane Today) program to introduce soaring. F.A.S.T. certificates provide an initial glider lesson, introductory flight with a CFIG instructor, Glider Pilot's Logbook, book about Soaring and 3 months membership in the SSA.
