Conservatoire De Valenciennes

Excellence in Artistic Education defines the Valenciennes Conservatory, a historic institution founded in 1697 as the Academy of Music and fully renovated in 2016. Under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture, the Conservatory welcomes more than 880 students, inspiring creativity and cultural engagement far beyond the Valenciennes region. The Conservatory’s mission focuses on music and theater training, artistic practice, and cultural outreach, especially to underserved audiences. Notably, inclusive workshops for children with autism (TSA), in partnership with Réseau Bulle, promote diversity and accessibility. As a driving force for culture for all, the Conservatory energizes the city’s neighborhoods with a rich program of auditions, concerts, conferences, masterclasses, and public rehearsals throughout the year, strengthening its cultural roots in the urban landscape.
