Based in Bournemouth and established in 1993, Consortium has unbreakable roots in skateboarding culture but a vision far beyond. We pride ourselves on our disruptive approach to retail and continue to push the boundaries of what a contemporary retail store can be with our cross category curation. Refusing to fit in is a strong part of our DNA and we align ourselves with brands who uphold this value, always ensuring our product offering accurately reflects our core beliefs. We remain committed to creating an ever evolving inclusive space for all, extending beyond selling product to build upon and nurture our connection with the contemporary arts, culture and community scene in the UK and beyond. We see our store as a living, breathing organism in its own right, existing side by side with our customer, growing older but never growing up. As a store, we refuse to operate within traditional retail limitations and pride ourselves on our cross-generational clientele. We let our curation do the talking, supporting our customers for a lifetime and becoming synonymous with their human experiences. From first skateboard to first homeware, Consortium champions considered, credible product above all else, a love affair we have shared with customers old and new for over 25 years. We have always searched for the new, weird and wonderful and were an early adopter of online retail, with our first e-commerce website launched in 1996. Our ambitions are global but our spirit is local, always ensuring we have a small but dynamic team of loyal Bournemouth based creatives powering our ever growing back end operations.
