COMITALY is a Consortium of growers, packing and conditioning companies in charge of the internationalization of fresh fruit and vegetables. COMITALY supports and coordinates the numerous growers and operators of the fruit and vegetable sector in order to offer a complete service to the big international buyers. This is possible thanks to the historical know-how of the numerous partners forming the union and the high capacity of supplying of the whole product range directly from growers as well as the innovative and well-equipped modern packing and conditioning firms. The main benefits for the client are: •exclusive supplier of a complete produce range; •exclusive speaker able to plan according to customers’ demand (Short Filière); •produce collection and conditioning soon after the arrival (Fresh on the Table). COMITALY is born to aggregate a team of experts, growers and business operators that act at the MOF, the Wholesale Agrofood Center of Fondi. Located halfway between Rome and Naples, in the middle of a wide area very devoted to agriculture and rich of glass-houses, the MOF is one of the largest Italian centre of collection, treatment and distribution of fresh produce. The volume of goods traded at the Wholesale Agrofood Centre of Fondi exceeds tons annually. In addition to the many traditional services, the MOF has a modern laboratory for quality control and certification of the produce. The products are distributed in a fast and efficient way. A large pool of local transport agencies assures fast delivering of the produce thanks to a significant fleet of refrigerated vehicles.
