Construction Econord Inc

Construction Econord was founded in September 2017 as part of the commitment of the Cree Nation of Oujé-Bougoumou to participate, among other things, in the works required for the restoration of Mine Principale abandoned site. Econord's head office is located in the community of Oujé-Bougoumou and the unique shareholder is Kagoose Construction, itself wholly owned by Entreprises Oujé-Bougoumou Inc, a company owned by the Cree Nation of Oujé-Bougoumou. The mission of this company is to promote Cree know-how by promoting local labour and equipment on large-scale projects while generating and optimizing benefits for community members of Oujé-Bougoumou. Econord aims to become the leader in the natural resources sector, particularly in the rehabilitation and enhancement of affected sites, by focusing on respecting the culture of the ancient, present and future values of the First Nations and by combining its expertise in the environmental, civil works and forestry sectors.
