Years ago, when I was a clerk in an Accounts Payable department, I immediately identified that touching the hundreds of invoice up to 6 times each was costing huge amounts of time, the solution I implemented, saved the company 16 person hours, from the time I implemented to well past my departure from that company. As owner of a company that grew from $800k to $6mil in 4 years, I wrote processes that were efficient enough for the tiny organization, but robust enough that years later when the company was $20mil, the same processes were still being used.
