Cores And Effect Pilates

Cores & Effect is a fully equipped Pilates studio here in Bragg Creek, staffed by trained, dedicated teachers committed to the biomechanics of functional movement. We employ the classical Pilates method using a series of supported, incremental, skill based exercises. Sessions take place employing a variety of specialized equipment (The Pilates Apparatus – Reformer, Cadillac, Ladder Barrel and Chair, as well as certain auxiliary pieces such as Magic Circle or simple therabands) – utilizing all of these with the goal of creating strength, length and flexibility in the musculoskeletal system. Pilates is well known for its capacity to alleviate chronic pain arising from dysfunctional movement patterns. A well-developed core can support and improve one’s capacity for everyday activities or enhance high level sports performance in elite athletes. It is a very adaptable system of movement that people at all levels of physical capacity find surprisingly effective and often transformative.
