COREx, creating valuable products from waste CO2 for farmers and chemical companies. Our technology is based on a thermochemical conversion of CO2 to methanol, biochar and activated carbon. Our grand vision is to reverse global warming and increase topsoil productivity. COREx Solution is semi-finalistin the $20M Carbon Xprize Contest. Wilson Hago, co-founder and CEO, has more than 25 years in the biofuels and biochar industry. He is a physical chemist with degrees in physics from Harvard and a doctorate in chemistry from Brown. Alicia Bosch, co-founder and COO, is a mechanical engineer from UPC BarcelonaTech and a social entrepreneur since an early age. She has a background in business development and user experience and has previously worked at Telefónica Innovation. All team members are recent graduates of the Global Solutions Program at Singularity University (SU) based at NASA Ames in Mountain View, California.
