Counterbalance Collective

Inclusive. Accessible. Exploratory. Counterbalance Is a non-profit film development and production organization. Counterbalance is comprised of women identifying members who support each other through new experiences and creations. Its members work in collaboration to build, foster and nurture new communities and voices through the medium of film. Mission: To foster women-led and women-focused content in all stages of film creation, development, direction, production, marketing and distribution; To create a welcoming space to develop ideas and to further individual crafts and learn to master new ones; and To operate outside of the established industry framework and to change the traditional norms of working in film.
