Createproto was founded in June 2008 by Simon Lau, a Mechanical Engineer who wanted to radically reduce the time it took to get injection-molded plastic prototype parts. His solution was to automate the traditional manufacturing process by developing CNC Machining, 3D Printing and Rapid Tooling. As a result, plastic and metal parts could be produced in a fraction of the time it had ever taken before. with the intention of shaking up conventional thinking in the manufacturing world. Even as we have expanded our operations around the globe, that spirit continues to drive us. Every member of our leadership team is dedicated to challenging the status quo in an unceasing bid to improve how we serve our customers. In 2016, we launched industrial-grade 3D printing services to allow product developers, designers, and engineers an easier path to move from early prototyping to low-volume production.
