Creative Many advances the creative industries for a strong and resilient Michigan. We are headquartered in Detroit with offices in Lansing, Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo. We empower and invest in creative people and industries. Our research and advocacy frame the creative industries as a priority for Michigan. Committed to developing creative people, creative places and the creative economy, we believe that a strong Michigan depends on a healthy creative community. Our work includes advocacy and public policy, research, professional practice development, investment + fiscal sponsorship, strategic communications + storytelling. Creative State Michigan: Our research communicates the impact of the creative industries - including arts, culture, design and creative education - on communities and economies across the state. According to our 2016 Creative Industries Report, Michigan was home to almost employees across over establishments, generating nearly $5 billion in wages in 2014. Professional Practice Development: Our programs are designed for and by creative practitioners to support their professional development - building community across the many creative people who call Michigan home.
