Creative Presence

I’m a creative mindfulness instructor/coach, grant writer, and consultant. I’ve designed, facilitated, and funded healing arts programs for the NYC Department of Health, the New York Public Library, the Bronx Council on the Arts, Acacia Network, PEN America, and other organizations. Initiatives such as Bronx Memoir Project, DREAMing Out Loud, and #OurStoriesNYC have served our most vulnerable residents, including LGBTQI youth-of-color, undocumented immigrants, low-income communities, and senior citizens. I’ve studied story craft for over twenty years and was certified as a meditation instructor through Tibet House’s 100-Hour Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training, where I studied with senior Buddhist teacher David Nichtern in the lineage of Tibetan master Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche.
