Bonjour! My name is Chantal, and I am the owner of Crepes by C. Where did crepes come into the picture? Honestly, it’s always been there. My earliest memories are of my French mom teaching me how to make crepes using her mothers (my grandmothers) recipe. Curious about my French culture that I knew little about, in 2012, I decided to move to France to further my education and learn the French language. After living in various cities in France for nearly 10 years, I couldn’t resist the chance to get formally trained in the art of crepe making in Paris. Upon returning to my hometown of Washington D.C, I realized that there was a lack of authentic French crepe options available. Shortly after, I started Crepes by C in 2022.
