We are CresCine, a European Horizon 2020 3-year initiative to enhance the competitiveness and cultural diversity of the European film industry. We aim to understand, engage with, empower, and ultimately transform European small markets through original research and piloting the results in 7 countries: Estonia, Lithuania, Denmark, Ireland, Belgium (Flanders), Croatia, and Portugal. We operate in a rapidly changing and increasingly competitive European film market and seek to drive innovation at all levels of the value chain. We are divided into 8 work packages-WP1 deals with project management-WP 2 with the overall project data pool-WP3 will provide comparative analysises of the market-WP4 will identify and pilot innovative, scalable, and sustainable business models-WPs 5 to 7 will focus on dynamics across the value chain and users/viewers preferences-WP8 will exploit results from previous WPs and propose recommendations for further developments.
