Critical Cyber Systems

Critical Cyber Systems specialises in engineering Artificial Intelligence (AI) for safety-critical applications - that is where failure of the AI may result in harm to life, livelihood, society and environment. Our unique skill set allows us to develop AI solutions that perform critical-decision making roles as well as dynamically managing risks (diagnostics/prognostics) at the micro (single vehicle) and the large-scale macro levels (swarm of connected autonomous vehicles). Critical Cyber Systems is led by Dr. Zeshan Kurd, a former academic who has performed pioneering and ground-breaking work in the field for almost 20 years and has published around 30 journals, papers and technical reports. His previous work has gained significant traction particularly in the USA from companies and institutions such as NASA, Google and Microsoft. Much of this work is also being proposed to further develop Standards such as ISO 26262 to better address machine learning and AI.
